PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- Two suspects in an alleged attempted carjacking in Colorado Springs are now in custody after being arrested in Pueblo.
According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), officers first responded to an attempted carjacking with shots fired around 12:45 a.m. on October 26. The victim told police multiple armed suspects had tried to steal his car before an employee stepped in and the victim got into his car and left the area.

CSPD says as the victim left, at least one shot was fired; officers later found shell casings, live ammunition and a bullet hole in the business. A KRDO13 crew was able to locate this bullet hole in the window of Maverick gas station.
Two additional victims were also contacted who reported having been threatened with a gun by one of the suspects before the attempted carjacking, CSPD says. The suspects had fled prior to police arriving.
CSPD says its robbery unit took over and during its investigation identified 19-year-old Arturo Archuleta and 22-year-old Jacob Lucero as suspects. According to officials, CSPD learned the two had been contacted by the Pueblo Police Department in a car matching the suspect vehicle.
Both Archuleta and Lucero were booked into the Pueblo County Jail on unrelated charges. CSPD says it obtained arrest warrants for both suspects in connection with the investigation. They are both still booked in the Pueblo County Jail.
